@Pablo: If you are not sure just get the MKE 600. you can hardly go wrong with this one… AT8035 offers a longer range for specific occasions, but the Sennheiser is more convenient as a go-to mic.

Would you recomend me the MKE 600 or the Audio Technica AT8035 for short films and short documentary films? I’m planning to use the microphone on top of the camera but also with a boom pole.

How well would this microphone work to pick up a couple saying their wows in a marriage whilst being about 4 to 6 feet away from the microphone. Is it too directional, that if it is not set right or they move, it won’t pick them up.

Well, if you like the idea of lithium battery, charge indicator and -10 dB pad… then stick with NTG4+.
Otherwise you may save some money by getting MKE600 and windshield. Sennheiser doesn’t offer those extra features but in terms of sound quality both mics are identical.
