I do backing vocals in a live rock band and I use an in ear monitor. the problem I have is the mic I now use picks up all the on stage sounds, especially the drums and blasts it into my ear pieces very loudly. Can you suggest some mic’s that only pick up sound that is made very close to the mic itself and none from the other instruments.? That would be a life saver for me. Thanks

I think OM7 will have an advantage, but you’ll need to hold it properly.

for an emcee in a nightclub , which would you pick? the audix om7 or the shure beta 87a? or would you recommend another vocal mic. thanks
